Development & Applications Projects
- Conduct application trials and recipe formulation on bench top laboratory for Beverage/ Dairy/ Bakery powder premixes and end product applications.
- Prepare sensory evaluation on related raw materials, vendor approvals, sourcing suppliers as well as end use applications of all the company products.
- To assist in pilot trial runs and sample making.
- Support beverage & food analytical testing using various equipment and processes under guidance & supervision. Coordinate with external testing houses for test reports and well verse with FSSAI guidelines & regulations.
Develop New Product Application Recipe
- Test existing application recipe and refine the details / procedures to make it more user friendly for customers or according to customer set up.
- Product & Raw Material Portfolio support and maintenance:
- Understanding of raw material portfolio and its functionality, physical, chemical, and microbiological compositions.
- Maintains adequate stock of standardized raw materials and products. Coordinate with Production for new products batch trials and other orders.
Validating Ingredient Functionality Into Final Products
- Understanding the ingredient functionality
- To validate product stability via the design of shelf-life studies
Documentation Of Results
- Ensures all outputs are recorded according to established protocols.
- Documents all testing results and documents in lab books and computer databases
- Prepares COA, TDS, MSDS and other technical and regulatory documents for customers, authorities, approvals, etc.
Quality Assurance & Laboratory Maintenance
- Follows established procedures in relation to laboratory maintenance and stock control
- Follow Food safety practices and in-depth knowledge of ISO 22000, FSSC, HACCP, US FDA, GMP systems, guidelines, and regulations
- Exposure to food safety audits and reporting of the entire production plant & office facility
Learnings And Exposure
- Exposure to Product Development, End-Use-Market Application, Sensory Evaluation Process, Test Protocol and Sensory Lexicon
- Hands-on experience with product specific Application Recipes
- Ability to understand the New Product Development process from bench development to scale-up
- Exposure on how to utilize Food Science to solve customer challenges
- How to communicate across a diverse organization with many different cultures, geographies and preferences
Job Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Master’s Degree in Chemistry or Food Science or equivalent.
- At least 2 Year(s) of working experience in the related field B2B/ D2C FMCG / Flavour/ Ingredients company is required for this position.
- Hands on, self-motivated and results-orientated individual and technically inclined.
- Interest in doing research work with good sensory skills. Experience in flavors & ingredients is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Team Player.
